Melanie Pyne


Founding member of Triple ByPass Productions - mounting  and staring in John Patrick Shanley's 'Savage in Limbo' at Toronto's Storefront theater, George F. Walker's 'The End of Civilization' at Fraser Studio's Toronto, Eric Bogosian's "Skunkweed'- In Toronto's 2015 Fringe Festival at Theater Passe Muraille, Stephen Adley Gurigis 'Den of Thieves' at Toronto's UNIT 102 and  George F. Walker's "Adult Entertainment".

​Well versed in theatre, she has tackled such playwrights as, Timothy Findlay, Michelle Trembley and most recently Mohammad Yaghoubi's 'A Moment of Silence' - w/Nowadays Theatre Company/Summerworks Theatre Festival Toronto.

Founding member of LowDown Theatre Company, producing and directing their inaugural production Eric Begosian's "Wake Up & Smell the Coffee" at The Assembly Theatre, Toronto, Dec 2017.

​ Recent film and TV credits:  'Conduit' directed by Anastasia Cronkite, 'Lakes' directed by Tim O'Brien. 'Shadow Animal' -Paranormal Investigator, various commercials.

For The 48 Hour Film Project, producing, writing and acting in-

 2014 "Lemonade" A short about romance...little sour, a little sweet!"

​2015 "Strapped" -A short film about best friends, and bondage! 

​2016 "Fumbled" -A short about a sacred annual football game brings up buried wounds when a surprise guest is invited to play!"

2017 "Peace Pitch"- A board room drama about the price of war.

Studied at Humber College's Theatre Program, Seneca College, am a Fanshawe Theatre Program graduate and Straeon Acting Studios alumni.
